ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
(A) EDUCATIONAL:
(i) Bachelor’s Degree in Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry from recognized University or Veterinary Institute or equivalent as mentioned in Schedule-I or Schedule-II of the Indian Veterinary Council Act, 1984.
(ii) Should have registered with Veterinary Council of India or State Veterinary Council.
(B) EXPERIENCE: Two years experience in management of large size poultry farm (Poultry Farm with flock size of five thousand birds or higher, may be considered as large poultry farm).
DUTIES: Management of Poultry Flocks of different age groups at the Farm including vaccination, debeaking, wing banding, leg banding, trap nesting etc. Management of various Hatchery operations at the Farm. Marketing of eggs and birds produced at the Farm. Maintenance of proper records of livestock, eggs, hatchery, feeds and feed ingredients and other stock and stores at the Farm.
HQ: New Delhi.
Any other Conditions: To be posted at Central Poultry Development Organisation, Bhubaneswar with liability to serve anywhere in India.

The posts are suitable for Physically Challenged Persons viz. Deaf and Hard of Hearing /Locomotor Disability /Cerebral Palsy /Leprosy Cured/Dwarfism/ Acid Attack Victims /Muscular Dystrophy with disability i.e. Deaf (D) or Hard of Hearing (HH) or One Leg affected (R or L) (OL). The posts are permanent.
Pay Scale: Level- 10 in the Pay Matrix as per 7th General Central Service, Group `A’, Gazetted Non- Ministerial.
Age: 35 years.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
(A) EDUCATIONAL:
(i) A Bachelor’s degree in Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry as listed in the First and Second Schedule of the Indian Veterinary Council Act. 1984 from a recognized university or institution.
(ii) Registration in the Veterinary Council of India or Veterinary Council of States.
(B) EXPERIENCE: One years’ experience in the Cattle and Livestock Development or Animal Health or Poultry or Meat and Meat Products from Central/State Government/Union Territory Administration Departments or Statutory/Autonomous Institutes or related Organizations recognized by the Government.
NOTE- I: The qualifications are relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission in the case of candidates otherwise well qualified.
NOTE- II: The crucial date for determining the age limit shall be the closing date for receipt of applications.
DESIRABLE :
(i) Master’s Degree in Veterinary Science from a recognized university or institute; or
(ii) Two years’ additional experience in the Cattle and Livestock Development or Animal Health or Poultry or Meat and Meat Products from Central/State Government/Union Territory Administration Departments or Statutory/Autonomous Institutes or related organizations recognized by the Government.
DUTIES:
(i) To assist the Livestock Health Related schemes run by State Government agencies.
(ii) To assist the policy and planning work of Livestock Health related issues for the Government of India.
(iii) To coordinate with International Bodies/Institute like OIE, APHCA, and FAO on policy, planning and maintenance of Livestock Health and the latest development in the field.
