27 September 2019: Government of Assam adopted a multi-faceted scheme in a departmental meeting on August 27, 2018. In the meeting, Hon’ble CM Sarbananda Sonowal set a target for the departmental officers to vaccinate the poultry and livestock, increase the production of milk, meat and eggs and take several other steps necessary in this regard.
As Hon’ble Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi had declared it in 2016 that a goal of enlarging income of the farmers is taken within 2022-23.
It is in response to this direction, Vet Con 2019 was arranged on September 27 at the GMCH Auditorium, Guwahati wherein each Veterinary officer was allotted with a particular timeline to execute the announcement made by Hon’ble Chief Minister by 2023.
