Karnataka Chief Minister Shri B.S. Yediyurappa today launched ‘Pashu Sanjeevini’ a well-equipped veterinary surgical mobile services for emergency treatment of cattle by showing green flag. Karnataka government has introduced emergency Helpline Number-1962 for seeking emergency treatment under its ambitious “Pashu Sanjeevini” programme. The Pashu Sanjeevini programme, was formally launched by Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa in front of Vidhana Soudha in Bengaluru today. Chief Minister flagged off the ambulance and also garlanded a cow while launching of the programme.
at the launching ceremony karnataka CM said the government is committed to implementing anti-cow slaughter law strictly and would bring a suitable legislation soon. He said “We are determined to protect cows and its progeny,’’.
In first phase ‘Pashu Sanjeevini’ will be operational in 15 districts. One vehicle in each district will be operational. The farmer have to dial 1962 if any health problem arises and a emergency ambulance with qualified Veterinary Doctor and equipment will reach and provide treatment at the doorstep of the cattle owners. Animal husbandry Minister Prabhu Chauhan said that this service will soon be extended to other district and more vehicle will be operational.
The “Pashu Sanjeevini” programme is a component of Rashtriya Gokul Mission (RGM) which aims to conserve and develop indigenous breeds in India.
Deputy Chief Minister and Transport Minister Lakshman Savadi, Chief Secretary T M Vijaya Bhaskar, BMTC Chairman Nandish Reddy and KSRTC Mangaging Director Shivayogi Kalsad were present in the launching ceremony.
