Post of Veterinary Officer on a part-time basis for the Animal House of AIIMS, Bhubaneswar

Eligible candidates are invited to attend WALK-IN-INTERVIEW for the post of Veterinary Officer on a part-time basis for the Animal House of AIIMS, Bhubaneswar on 16th October 2019. The essential qualifications, experience, honorarium and nature of the job are as under:

Number of posts: 1 (One)

Type of recruitment: Part-time basis

Upper age limit: Upper age limit 45 years (as on 16.10.19)

Qualification and Experience: 

Essential:

i)     Bachelor’s Degree in Veterinary Science from a recognized University/ Institution.

ii)  2 years’ experience in veterinary practice in corresponding field of work.

Desirable:

Master’s degree or diploma in Genetics from a recognized University/ Institution

Job Location: The Animal House, AIIMS, Bhubaneswar, Odisha

Tenure of recruitment: The initial appointment will be for a period of 11 months and thereafter, an extension may be allowed depending on the performance.

Honorarium: Rs. 1000 per visit to the Animal House. Minimum number of visits per month is 8 (eight).

If any candidate who joins the post and leave/resign/or are terminated before the completion of the tenure, the decision of AIIMS Administration will be final.
8. Nature of Job:
   • Providing adequate veterinary care for the laboratory animals of the Animal House at AIIMS,
   • A minimum of 2 (two) visits per week (minimum 8 visits per month) and emergency visits (as and when required) must be done for observation and care of the Each visit should last for a minimum of one hour.
   • To design appropriate policies and procedures for ancillary aspects of veterinary care, such as use of appropriate methods to prevent and control diseases, operative and post-operative care, diagnosis and treatment of diseases as well as injuries; animal husbandry and animal welfare; monitoring occupational health hazards containment and zoonosis control programme; and supervising animal nutrition and
