Dr. H.K. Chaudhary, Vice-Chancellor of Chaudhary Sarwan Kumar Himachal Pradesh Krishi Vishvavidyalaya (CSKHPKV), Palampur called on Himachal Pradesh Governor Bandaru Dattatraya at Raj Bhavan. It was a courtesy call.
While congratulating him on being appointed the Vice-chancellor of Agriculture University, the Governor hoped that the university would establish new dimension under their leadership. He asked him to focus more on research work and new innovations. He directed him to strengthen the online education system and consideration should be made on teacher training.
He said that more attention should be paid to the fact that the student should go towards agricultural activities in the field rather than the government job. He suggested that small villages should be adopted for promoting natural farming and school drop-out youths should be given training in natural farming practices. They should be given certificates and could further train others, he added.
Shri Dattatraya also directed him to work on medicinal plants in tribal areas for which new projects should be started. It would be helpful in promoting the economy of the people of tough areas.
Dr. H.K. Chaudhary assured the Governor that efforts would be made to give international recognition and also to provide a new dimension to Agriculture University. Rakesh Kanwar, Secretary to Governor was also present on the occasion.
