The Krishi Vigyan Kendra, ICAR-Indian Institute of Sugarcane Research, Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh organized an “Animal Fertility Camp” at Ismail Nagar, Nagram, Lucknow today.
Shri Umesh Singh Tomer, Chairman, Lucknow Milk Union, Lucknow Division marked his presence as the Chief Guest of the event. Dr. A.D. Pathak, Director, ICAR-IISR, Lucknow presided the function. Dr. Pathak awarded three best cows and buffalo’s owners during the occasion.
A total of 260 livestock were medically tested for infertility and 100 kg mineral mixture, 2,000 deworming tablets and medicines of ticks were distributed to the dairy owners. The event was organized with the main objective of doubling the farmers’ income by increasing the productivity of dairy animals. The event registered a total participation by 365 dairy farmers and 260 animals of nearby villages.
