Prani Bikas Dhara, a monthly magazine on Animal Husbandry sector published in ODIA language and Krishi Vigyan Kendra, ICAR-National Rice Research Institute, Cuttack conducted an awareness Quiz on the World Milk Day 2020.
The online quiz was conducted on Google Forms was under the expertise of Dr Ranjan Kumar Mohanta, Subject Matter Specialist (Animal Science) of KVK Cuttack. Dr Sarada Prasanna Sahoo, Chief Editor, Prani Bikas Dhara and Director, Central Cattle Breeding Farm, Sunabeda supervised the programme. It has three categories, the first one (Set A) for veterinary and dairy professionals, second for farmers and entrepreneurs (Set B) and third one for general public (Set C). 864 veterinary and dairy professionals, 10 farmers and 174 public participated across India in the first venture from the collaboration. Milk, its nutritional importance and facts related to milk were the main focus of the programme. The huge response on this quiz enhanced the enthusiasm among the organizers from both the KVK Cuttack and Prani Bikas Dhara team along with all those involved for organizing the events. Participation certificate is being mailed to all and awards for the top three in each category.
