Haryana Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Minister, Mr. J.P. Dalal has called upon the farmers not to burn the straw in the fields, rather they should play an important role in protecting the environment by taking advantage of the subsidy on agricultural machinery being given by the government under crop residue management. He said that coal and tar can also be prepared from the straw by using various processes, which further can be used in the construction of roads.
Mr. Dalal said this while addressing a gathering after inaugurating a plant of Navyug Enterprises Research and Development for Agriculture Waste in Paradana village of Israna block in Panipat district today.
Speaking on the occasion, Agriculture Minister said that the youth should come forward for such kind of works. On this occasion, MP, Mr. Sanjay Bhatia, former BJP state president, Mr. Subhash Barala, Director General, Agriculture Department, Mr. Vijay Dahiya and other dignitaries were present.
