Sheep & Animal Husbandry Dept conduct awareness camps in Khaltsi block of Leh district

Department of Animal Husbandry, Khaltsi conducted a two-day awareness camp at Domkhar and Achinathang in Khaltsi block of Leh district. The camps were held under the supervision of Block Veterinary Officer (BVO), Dr Sonam Dolker, during which the farmers were apprised about the different schemes of the department that they could avail for their livestock.

Councillor, Skurbuchan, Lundup Dorjay was the chief guest for the occasion at Achinathang. Manager, Jammu and Kashmir Bank, Skurbuchan Branch, Konchok Tsewang; sarpanches, nambardars and villagers were present during the camp. Similarly, Department of Sheep Husbandry, Khaltsi conducted a two-day awareness camp in various villages of Khaltsi block such as Skindying, Domkhar, Hanuthang, Dha-Beema, Hanu-Gongma and Takmachik. The awareness camp was supervised by Block Officer, Sheep Husbandry Department, Phuntsog Tashi that also included the verification of rams/bucks and the rarzee (shepherd) system.
