Returning Officer appointed for Veterinary Council of India Election 2020 (VCI Election 2020) declared dates for holding election of members from amongst persons enrolled in the Indian Veterinary Practitioners Register of the Veterinary Council of India:
- Date for filing nomination 29.06.2020 (Monday) 9.00 AM to 06.07.2020 (Monday) 5:00 PM
- Date and time for scrutiny of nominations 13.07.2020 (Monday) 10:00 AM in the office of the Returning Officer
- Last date for withdrawal of candidature 5.07.2020 (Monday) 5:00 PM in the office of the Returning Officer
- Date of poll (online voting), if necessary 20.08.2020 (Thursday) to 22.08.2020 (Saturday) (7.00 AM to 6.00 PM each day)
- Date, time and place for counting 24.08.2020 (Monday), 11:00 AM at Krishi Bhawan, New Delhi
The eligible candidates may send their nomination paper in Form-I annexed herewith to the Returning Officer, Shri Ajith, Director (AHS), Department of Animal Husbandry and Dairying , Room No. 491, Krishi Bhawan, New Delhi -01, on or before the appointed date and time for contesting election to the Veterinary Council of India. With the advancement of animal breeding and sustainable policies, the number of dairies and milch animals are increasing day by day creating problems in the domestic areas. Under the circumstances, VCI may formulate some guidelines /policies for the safeguard of the dairies /people managing few milch animals even in the villages.
The building of some animal hostels away from the vicinity of the human devilling in the cities/villages can be thought of, where individual animal rooms or dormitories can be allocated to the desired persons on a rental basis. Guidelines for the management can be formulated for the benefit of the owners of the animal.
