CM has taken decision to ensure the welfare of livestock in Gujarat

Chief Minister of the state Mr. Vijay Rupani has taken a sensitive decision to ensure the welfare of livestock in Gujarat amidst lockdown.

Providing details of the decision, Secretary to CM Mr. Ashwani Kumar said, “The state government has decided to provide a daily assistance of ₹ 25 per cattle in order to ensure their daily stock of fodder amidst the lockdown. Around 4 lakh livestock from the registered Gaushalas, Panjrapols will avail the benefits for the month of May. The state government will bear an additional burden ranging from ₹ 30 – ₹ 35 crores.”

A similar decision was taken by the Chief Minister for the month of April and the state government spent around ₹ 35 crores for the same.
